DISASTER RELIEF

MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE

PWT understands that in the South Pacific, it’s not a matter of if a natural disaster will occur it is how severe it will be.

The South Pacific is one of the most natural disaster prone regions on earth. Countries are vulnerable to natural hazards that include floods, droughts, tropical cyclones, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and tsunamis. Any one of these hazards can result in disasters that affect the countries’ entire economic, human, and physical environment and severely affect their long-term development agenda. These natural calamities have devastating impact on livelihoods, especially for the poorest and most vulnerable people.

PWT will be operating a fleet of ROPAX (cargo and passenger vessels) and dedicated passenger vessels throughout the South Pacific, the wide spread of the PWT fleet will ensure our vessels are available for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief both post and pre incidents occurring.

PWT passenger landing craft are designed to allow beach landing and loading ensuring supplies, food and water etc. can be transferred to most coastal community locations rapidly and efficiently.

PWT dedicated maritime professionals are first aid trained and all PWT vessels carry comprehensive medical supplies.
